About me
My name is Raquel Caamaño and I am a freelance translator specialising in Media Translation, even though I also work with other kind of texts.
I graduated from the Universidade de Vigo, Spain, in 2008 with a Degree in Translation and Interpreting (English and French into Spanish and Galician). After graduating I decided to further my studies and I enrolled for the Master in Media Translation at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, because I have always loved cinema and TV shows. Media Translation was the perfect combination for me because it joins my passions: languages and cinema.
I have large proffesional experience as a translator, proofreader and subtitler of TV shows, short movies, general and technical texts (fashion, handbooks, music, tourism...). You can check some of my previous work here.
To improve and polish up my language skills and learn more about their cultures I have studied and worked in France and UK. Whenever I can I come back there or travel to other countries to keep learning.
